For the third year in a row, Lowel Light was a sponsor to the
annual Brooklyn International Film Festival, which ran in early June,
2004.
Set at the recently renovated Brooklyn Museum, the festival screened
over 100 films in various film & video formats over its 10 day run. The
films were selected out of over 1300 submissions from around the world,
and ran the full gamut from experimental shorts, to documentaries, to
animations, and full length features.
"We're proud to be from Brooklyn with its many diverse neighborhoods &
cultures." said Lowel president Marvin Seligman. "And we're equally
proud to support this Brooklyn based festival which showcases the
diverse cultures and styles of cinema from around the corner & around
the world."
Lowel donated 2 of their versatile location lighting kits to be awarded
to the winners of the Short Film & Documentary categories, as well as a
cash prize to the Documentary winner of the festival.
