May 2003 Lowel Announces Sweeping Revisions to Product Line. New Catalog! Many New & Upgraded Kits! Numerous Other Equipment Upgrades! |
 Lowel have released a new complete catalog containing equipment upgrades for virtually every part
of their expansive product line. From Lights, to Controls, to Mounts, to Cases, to Kits, the changes
were made to accomodate the changing needs of contemporary professional image gathering.
Kits There are over a dozen new kits, many of which have been created especially for the DV run & gun shooter. Some combine lights from different Lowel systems and a number of them feature the new compact 250w Rifa-44 quick setup soft light. There are also larger, more elaborate, kits with 4 or more lights & a wide range of accessories to accommodate more sophisticated lighting situations.
Also, a majority of the existing kit line has been completely revamped. A number of kits have had light control accessories added, such as reflective umbrellas, scrims, reflectors, daylight correction gel packs & frames. Some have also had their abilities expanded by adding versatile mounting clamps to allow a wider range of placement options. Note: Almost all Lowel kits now come with lamps of recommended 120v wattage's. Lights & Controls Some Lowel lighting fixtures have had design upgrades and / or CE approved models created for the international market. Others have had new Light Controls added. Some examples:
Lights with Lamps / Light Paks Almost all Lowel fixtures are also now available, optionally, with lamps of recommended wattage. Many are also available in special Paks, with lamp, light control accessory (barndoors or umbrella) and recommended stand included, all at an extra savings. Stands & Mounts The family of Lowel stands has been expanded to include the new Uni TO Stand, which folds as small as the popular Uni-stand, but is as sturdy as the equally popular Omni Stand. Also the Grand Stand has been updated with better collars & knobs & also a better version of the adjustable 3rd leg that makes the stand easier to use on stairways, etc. All of our stands & poles have been upgraded with thick walled aluminum alloy construction, larger collars & locking knobs, and have been finished in attractive gun metal gray anodizing. Cases There are several new cases. Also a number of our cases have been upgraded to add movable partitions, for more flexible packing, as well as recessed wheels & spring loaded handles for easier travelling.
