Chroma Key Set
To cut a clean and effective key, when superimposing talent on a secondary image, you must light both them and the green screen background evenly. This setup uses a pair of fixtures above and behind the talent to flood the background. It also lights the talent evenly with a pair of fixtures from the front, and another pair as side fills. The back light, above & behind the talent, illuminates the edges of the figure to help cut a sharper outline.
All 4 of the lights on the talent have intensifiers with honeycomb grids as front accessories. Intensifiers increase output and compensate for the light loss of the honeycomb grids, which are used in varying strengths to limit spill.
The below listed fixtures are chosen for a studio with 9-11 ft ceiling heights. To light from higher placed lighting grids, it may be necessary to use more powerful fixtures.
